row 1. k2, plm, m1, k4, m1, plm, k2 and your total is now 10 st.

row 2. k2, slm, m1, k across to 1st  before marker, m1, slm, k2 total 12

Rows 3-12 (10 rows) Repeat row 2 until you have 28 stitches.
